Club Culture

We want Dolgellau Golf Club, in keeping with its history, to be:

•  Effective for its members

•  Welcoming to guests, families and visitors from anywhere in the world

•  Accessible to golfers of all ages, abilities and disabilities

•  Interesting and a bit mysterious

Our course is a delight for golfers, artists and photographers. Just look at the fun we are having putting photographs on this site! It isn't a championship course. Some of you very long drivers might just fancy a go at reaching any or all of our greens?

If so, we advise you to bring plenty of old balls and practise your recovery shots! Thick rough, tall trees, a fast flowing stream, sloping fairways, carefully positioned bunkers, subtle angle changes for inward tees and some small, seductive greens of varying pace and deceptive undulation ( ever so close to the course boundaries) are waiting just for you!

Cader Idris, the Mawddach estuary and the beautiful Welsh skies will charm you for sure and you will delight in our course's rugged splendour, but beware of indigenous wizardry as the wind swirls, the mist closes and the rain arrives with the tide. This Siren course will challenge you whatever your handicap and we are building a club- house and bar so that you can tell us how you have got on and all your 'if onlys'.
