Seniors Section
We have a growing Gentlemen's Seniors Section which meets on Wednesdays and Fridays through the year and has regular reciprocal fixtures with amongst others Criccieth, Aberdyfi and Abersoch Golf Clubs. Please do come along if you are over 55. Geoff Flint is the current captain of the Seniors. On 7 July 12 seniors, captained by Chris Mahoney and undeterred by appalling weather in Dolgellau, made the journey to Aberdovey to enjoy a thoroughly good contest with Aberdyfi Seniors. The rain relented but the wind strengthened to near gale force. Many a ball was lost in rough or even the sea as our golfing prowess was severely challenged over the course of a five hour round. We lost 4-2 but to achieve two victories was no mean feat.
After the game we were entertained to a meal and a short speech by the Aberdfyi captain of the day to which our club captain, David Clay responded with thanks to our hosts.
